Best Skincare Routine for MEN with Normal Skin

You have smooth skin with balanced moisture, not observing any oily or dry patches, irritation, fine lines, breakouts, or discoloration.

Skincare is like toothcare.

Would your tooth remain healthy and have smell-free breath if you washed your mouth once a month? NO!

The same principle applies to your skin as a man. Take care of your skin for a healthy look and a face free of puffiness, fine lines, and wrinkles.

Men over the age of 20 may use this routine.

If you aim to fight already-visible fine lines, refer to Retinol and Exfoliation sections and incorporate them into your routine.

If you’re under 20, you may also use these routines, but the treatment section is optional.

Yes, he does.

I, Dr Amir, joyfully share my crafted formulations with you.

You may purchase our products under the ‘Oretia’ (O-re-sha) brand name.

I developed four formulations: Two for men and two for women.

Each formula suits all skin types: normal, dry, oily, or combination.

The formulations are free of oil and butter that can potentially clog your pores as well as other skeptical unnecessary chemicals like sulfates, silicones, alcohol, paraben, dye/colorant, and fragrance.

For each gender, one serum is called Amplified C serum, a water-free, stable antioxidant formula based on vitamin C, ferulic acid, and arbutin with kiwi and coconut extracts.

The other serum is called Barrier Revive serum, a skin barrier-reviving serum combining collagen-like amino acids, cell-signaling peptides, hyaluronic acid, and niacinamide.

I hope these serums serve your needs seamlessly, my friend! I am here to serve you.

Morning Routine - MEN Normal Skin

1. Cleanse

Cleanse icon

Time 45 seconds

Cleanse your skin with a gentle, non-foaming cleanser to remove dirt and impurities.

This is a crucial step to ensure no dirt are clogging your pores and also gently remove dead skin from your face.

2. Treat

Time 30 seconds

Treat your skin with an antioxidant serum in daytime.

A potent serum containing pure L-ascorbic acid, the most effective and active form of vitamin C, as well as ferulic acid can limit the effects of sun UV rays on your skin and also promote collagen production that contributes to skin firmness and delays appearance of fine lines/wrinkles.

3. Moisturize (Optional)

Time 30 seconds

Moisturize with face cream to lock in water, especially in winter.

This step in the daytime ensures your skin is well-hydrated and the moisture level remains balanced throughout a day.

If you use sunscreen, moisturizer is optional for normal skin as your sunscreen formula typically has moisturizing functionality as well.

4. Protect

Time 30 seconds

Protect with sunscreen to reduce sun damage (even at home or on a cloudy day).

A sunscreen functions as a shield against sun rays that overexposure to them can result in accelerated aging.

Additionally, avoid outdoor activities when sun is at peaks hours (i.e. 11 AM to 4 PM).

Moisturizer is optional for normal skin as your serums will typically offer the desired skin recovery for your skin.

You may like to consider the following honey-based formula which I found works phenomenally at night.

IMPORTANT Additional Information

Retinol (Vitamin A)

retinol icon

Use a retinol serum at night only.

Once/twice per week will further delay skin aging but be cautious as it can be irritating.

Overusing retinol can result in white flakey skin, especially around your nose.

Vitamin A or retinol can function as an exfoliation option.

Exfoliation

exfoliation icon

If able, exfoliate your face weekly or biweekly to remove dead skin.

You can refer to our posted article here to learn more about exfoliation.

Toners & Eye Cream

toner and eye cream icon

Toners and eye creams are marketing scams promoted by dermatologists and so-called influencers.

You do NOT need a toner or eye cream.

You need effective treatment serums such as vitamin C, niacinamide (vitamin B3), and retinol (Vitamin A).

These serums will replace both toner and eye cream.

Caution!

If you have acne-prone skin, avoid products that have oils, butter, and vitamin E in their ingredient list.

Such ingredients will clog your pores.

Consult a dermatologist for acne treatment.
